Actor Hal Holbrook Dead At 95

Holbrook died on Jan. 23 at his home in Beverly Hills, California. His death was confirmed Monday, Feb 1st by his assistant. Holbrook was married to Designing Women star Dixie Carter until her death in 2010.  Holbrook starred in such films as The Fog, The Kidnapping of the President, Creepshow, Girls Nite Out, The Star Chamber, Wall Street, The Unholy and Fletch Lives during the 1980s. 

In 2008, when he was 82 years old, Hal Holbrook became the oldest male actor ever nominated for an Academy Award for his supporting role in “Into the Wild.”
