A new 4-hour documentary detailing the life of Janet Jackson from child star to superstar singer is coming to A&E and Lifetime. The project has been filming for the last three years. The release is set to coincide with the 40th anniversary of her debut album. The film deep dives into Jackson’s relationship with her family, the Super Bowl scandal with Justin Timberlake, and her rise to become a superstar of her own right behind the shadow of her brother Michael Jackson. It’s set to premiere in early 2022. Janet Jackson is personally overseeing the project and serves as executive producer as well as providing personal and archive footage to the film.
