Schoolhouse Rock

While this educational series actually started in the 1970s, new episodes were created and re-runs of the older ones were shown until 1985. These entertaining educational short films were shown in between commercials on Saturday mornings during the normal broadcast time dedicated strictly to children’s television and animated cartoons. Most 80s kids have fond memories of the episodes and can actually sing along with the commercials to this day, proving that the unique technique enabled kids to learn and memorize these ideas when set to music.
